The Full FAQ
What's the difference between power washing and pressure washing?
In practice, they're the same service — 'power washing' usually implies heated water, which is exactly what our hot-water rigs run on concrete. Whether you searched for power washing or pressure washing in Murrieta, what actually matters is matching the method to the surface: hot water and pressure on concrete, low-pressure soft washing on stucco, fences, and roofs.
Is house washing the same as house cleaning?
No — they're different services. 'House cleaning' usually means interior maid or housekeeping service: floors, dusting, bathrooms, kitchens. 'House washing' is exterior-only — a low-pressure soft wash of your home's stucco, siding, eaves, and trim that removes dust film, mildew, and grime buildup. If you searched for house cleaning in Murrieta and landed here, we don't offer interior cleaning — but if it's the outside of your home you're trying to get looking fresh again, that's exactly what we do.
Do you charge by the hour, or by the job?
By the job — never by the hour. We price on the size and condition of the surface (square footage, number of stories, how much buildup there is), not how long it takes to finish, so you get one clear upfront number in writing with no surprise charges if a job runs long. It also means there's no incentive to work slowly — we're paid the same either way. See the pricing guide for typical ranges by service.
How do I pick the best pressure washing company in Murrieta?
Ask every bidder two questions: 'hot water or cold?' and 'what's your plan for oil and irrigation stains?' Companies that can't answer cleanly are guessing with rental-grade equipment. Then check that the quote is itemized in writing, that stucco and roofs get soft washing rather than high pressure, and that the numbers line up with a published range — ours are on the pricing page for exactly that comparison.
What's the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing uses high-pressure water and is only appropriate for hard surfaces like concrete and pavers. Soft washing uses low pressure — about garden-hose strength — with detergents that do the cleaning chemically, and it's the only safe method for stucco, siding, roofs, and fences. A company that quotes one method for your whole property is a red flag; a Murrieta home needs both, applied to the right surfaces.
How much does pressure washing cost in Murrieta?
Driveways run $120–$300 depending on size, house soft washes $250–$600 by stories and square footage, tile roof cleaning $450–$900, and whole-property packages $500–$900. We publish every range in our pricing guide, and photos texted to (951) 307-9274 get an exact same-day quote.
Do you use my water or bring your own?
We typically use your outdoor spigot — a full job uses roughly as much water as a few loads of laundry, and hot-water machines are more water-efficient than a garden hose attempt. For vacant listings and new construction without service, we bring a tank for a $50–$75 add.
Will the detergents hurt my plants, pets, or family?
Applied correctly, no. We pre-wet and rinse landscaping around every treated area and keep solutions at exterior-cleaning concentrations. Keep pets inside during the wash and off wet surfaces until dry — usually a couple of hours in our climate — and you're covered.
I got an HOA violation letter. How fast can you fix it?
Fast — most violation-letter jobs can be washed within the week, with dated before/after photos to send your property manager. Driveway and fence letters resolve visually the same day; roof-streak letters take a few weeks to show full results after treatment, which most HOAs accept once the work is documented.
Why does my driveway have white crust and orange streaks?
The white crust is mineral scale. Local water runs around 11 grains per gallon, and every sprinkler cycle deposits a little more calcium along slab edges and garage doors. The orange is rust from irrigation runoff and fertilizer. Both need chemical treatment — pressure alone won't remove mineral or rust staining, which is why a hose-down never touches it.
How often should I schedule exterior cleaning in Murrieta?
Annual house washing, driveways every 1–2 years, roofs every 2–4 years, and commercial storefronts monthly to quarterly. With five-plus rainless months a year here, buildup is steady and predictable — which cuts both ways: skipping a year shows, and regular maintenance always costs less than restoration after years of buildup.
Do I need to be home during the service?
No — most residential jobs run while owners are at work. We need exterior access (gates unlocked, vehicles off the driveway, pets inside) and a working spigot. You'll get before/after photos when we finish.
What should I do to prepare for a house wash?
Close windows firmly, move vehicles out of the driveway, clear fragile potted plants and furniture off patios near the walls, and unlock side gates. That's it — we handle the rest, including covering outlets and fixtures as needed.
Do you clean solar panels?
We don't clean the panels themselves — those need deionized-water systems and manufacturer-compliant methods to protect coatings and warranties. We regularly wash everything around and under arrays, and we're careful with overspray near panel edges.
What if it rains on my scheduled day?
Light rain doesn't stop most work — concrete cleaning actually benefits from a damp surface. Heavy rain or wind reschedules the job at no charge, and Murrieta's weather makes that a rare event outside of winter storm weeks.
Why are some pressure washers banned in California?
They aren't banned from use — what's regulated is the sale of new gas engines. The California Air Resources Board's Small Off-Road Engine (SORE) rule, adopted in December 2021, requires most new small gas engines sold in California (mowers, leaf blowers, small pressure washers) to be zero-emission starting with model year 2024; generators and large pressure washers first had to run 40–90% cleaner and move to zero-emission with model year 2028. Nothing requires you to stop using a gas pressure washer you already own, used equipment can still be bought and sold, and none of it affects your ability to hire a professional. (Per CARB's published rule, accurate as of mid-2026.)
Which areas do you serve?
All of Murrieta (92562, 92563) plus Temecula, Menifee, and Wildomar at identical pricing with no trip fees. See the city pages linked in the footer for neighborhood-level detail.
How do I get the best price?
Bundle. The expensive part of any visit is getting the equipment there; adding walkways to a driveway job, or a fence to a house wash, prices far below booking them separately. The whole-property refresh (driveway + walkways + house wash, $500–$900) is the best per-surface value we offer.
